THE SMALL STUFF | REMEMBERING JAY

Here at Around the Pound, our credo is ‘the freshest catch of inspiration’. A year ago today, we lost one of our greatest sources of inspiration, our dear friend ‘Jay‘. To sum up her aura in a mere few sentences is to attempt the impossible. In her own words, she was a “self-made dreamer and designer who appreciated ‘the small stuff.”

When times got tough for Jay last summer, we decided a small charm of gilded good fortune was just what the doctor ordered. As we now scroll through her feed, seeing the joy it brought in the midst of adversity, we are humbly reminded how meaningful ‘the small stuff‘ can actually be.

365 days have passed, and while she was not able to celebrate in our joy of launching The Gilded Lobster, a ‘Pinch of Glam‘ is a nod to her love of ‘the small stuff‘, because sometimes, a pinch is just enough.

  1. D,

What a wonderful post and a beautifully creative connection you two had. Jay would always sing your praises and tell me about what you were up to. She will continue to inspire. I’m grateful she brought us together!
